We kicked off our Fall weddings with Dylan and Rochelle’s beautiful, backyard wedding. Except “backyard” doesn’t even describe this incredible property.
When Rochelle’s step-father first purchased this land years ago it was a cow pasture! Beautiful old trees that have stood the test of time cover the yard in perfect shade and a beautiful line of pines outlines the property from the neighboring fields. John proudly told us that he’s never once planted grass…all those years of being a cow pasture has turned into a perfectly fertilized and green lawn.
A tent covered the food and gave a backdrop to the dance floor which was surrounded by twinkling lights strung up on gorgeous beams. Throughout the yard, jars with candles hung in the trees and everything was absolutely perfect.
The planning is exciting and fun, but Dylan and Rochelle were so happy that this day had finally arrived…they were ready to be married.
The ceremony was set between two beautiful trees but a very special moment happened halfway through as Dylan and Rochelle moved out from under the cover of the trees to attach some keys to a balloon. The keys belonged to two heart-shaped locks that they had locked together. They let the balloon go, carrying away the keys and symbolizing their promise to be faithful, that their hearts would be kept only for one another. It was breathtaking.
Family and friends celebrated the night away with delicious food and a full dance floor plus fireworks to boot.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Wevley, we were so honored to be a part of your wonderful day and we are excited for you as you set off on the adventure of marriage.
